Should you wish to have such an event organized in Your School, do not hesitate to contact us!
11th March 2024 is the date when we started a series of meetings with representatives of legal professions, which all took place in the 1st Academic High School named after the Distinguished People of the Sea in Gdynia.
The aim of the initiative, organized and conducted by the Foundation, is to familiarize high school students with practical aspects related to performing various legal professions, such as counsel, legal advisor, judge, prosecutor, notary or court bailiff. Our speakers will advise high school students on how to start their upcoming professional careers and tell why it is worth pursuing a given legal profession. They will also present what they do on a daily basis, and answer the question whether their profession truly looks like it is presented in movies.
The first series of lectures will take place in the 1st Academic High School named after the Distinguished People of the Sea in Gdynia.
Counsel: Meeting with Counsel Dominika Szumała-Walczak
Dominika Szumała-Walczak talked about being a counsel and introduced the practical aspects of performing this profession to the listeners. The questions posed during the lecture were such:
-Who is a counsel?
-How to become one?
-What does a counsel do?
-What's his/her work like?
We would like to thank Dominika Szumała-Walczak for an extremely interesting speech. There were also many references to popular TV series and movies, while describing what the work of a counsel is actually like on a practical basis.
Notary: meeting with Konrad Kuźmicki
We are continuing our series of meetings with representatives of legal professions for the students of the 1st Academic High School named after the Distinguished People of the Sea in Gdynia.
Notary Konrad Kuźmicki from the Notary Office of Małgorzata Kuźmicka and Konrad Kuźmicki in Gdynia familiarized the audience with the realities of his work. Activities performed by a notary in accordance with the Notarial Law Act and its interactions with other legal professions were thoroughly discussed. There was also a debate about the contacts with clients and the forms of permitted promotion of notary services.
We would like to thank Notary Kuźmicki for inspiring the audience's interest after a very interesting lecture, during which our guest was asked many thought-provoking questions.
During the next meeting, the profession of bailiff will be presented to the audience.
Court bailiff: meeting with Robert Roszczyniała
During the next meeting with representatives of legal professions for students of the 1st Academic High School in Gdynia named after the Distinguished People of the Sea, the students were introduced to the realities of working as a court bailiff.
Court Bailiff at the District Court Gdańsk-Północ in Gdańsk, Robert Roszczyniała, presented to the students the issues related to his profession. The listeners could learn, first and foremost, how to become a court bailiff and hear about the activities performed by bailiffs.
We would like to thank Court Bailiff Robert Roszczyniała for engaging the students with an extremely interesting lecture, including a discussion of many situations that had occurred during his professional career.
In the current school year, we are planning to organize meetings with the representatives of other legal professions, such as prosecutor, judge and legal advisor.
